PHOTOGRAPHY / FILM
"I come from a line of men who speak less & observe more."
Growing up in Rwanda, my parents kept photo albums. I'd go through them for hours — each image a doorway into a story I wasn't there for but somehow felt. That quiet curiosity about people and moments never left me.
My dad used to be a photographer. He owned a camera he bought from a white man in the 80s — back when most people had to wear a suit and go to an office just to be taken seriously. That was the norm.
I do not like the norm.
My love for creativity started with drawing and sketching. The moment I picked up a camera, something clicked.
I think there’s so much wisdom in the older generation; it's rare nowadays to find originality and soul. From a young age, curiosity fueled my creativity. I still believe that through curiosity, originality and friendship, art thrives.
